Prof. Kwame Agyei Frimpong is an Associate Professor in Soil Fertility at the University of Cape Coast, responsible for teaching, research and outreach in soil science, land use and environmental science. Alongside his academic work, he is a development practitioner with twenty years of experience in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development interventions.
He has collaborated with public, private and civil-society organisations in Ghana and abroad on research and consultancy assignments, and has led the design and evaluation of community development projects. Deeply attuned to the implications of a changing climate for agriculture, food security and rural development, Kwame has published widely on agricultural development, the green economy, inclusive growth, poverty reduction, environmental degradation and climate change.
